As of yesterday August 25, 2009 my Mission Statement is as follows:
I, Cheryl Jo Thompson of 422 Maplewood Ave. Whitehall, OH and the signatures of these citizens signing hereby circulate and file this petition to RECALL Jackie Thompson from the seat of Council At Large.

My Mission Statement
My Mission Statement is to alert all citizens of Whitehall, OH to the ridiculous and outrageous behavior of Council member Jackie Thompson at council meetings. Her behavior as an elected official is an embarrassment to our city. We as citizens need to voice our opinion and hold her to the high standards that she demands of all of the other elected officials.

This is very painful to watch. This is very painful to listen to. It's very painful to witness Council woman Thompson treat a respected and viable organization as "Help Fido" in such an ugly and disrespectful manner.
ReplyDeleteTo all of you who don't know about the "Help Fido" organization - here is some background: The founding board of this organization campaigned against the pit bull ban that Council woman Thompson introduced last year. These people campaigned by speaking vocally about their love for pit bull breeds and all other dogs. This group of people educated others that it is not the dog, but the owners who are responsible for ALL dog behavior.
The good people had the audacity to challenge Council woman Thompson's parade of lies. The challenge was met by educating the public, rallying citizens to speak out against these lies and misinformation and by speaking to other city council members.
JACKIE THOMPSON IS UPSET BECAUSE THESE GOOD PEOPLE USED THE POWER OF CITIZEN ACTION IN ORDER TO ACCOMPLISH THEIR GOAL.
Jackie was outmanuevered in every respect on this. So, now, Council woman Thompson derides this organization and says that this good and decent organization should not be included in the City of Whitehall citizen guide because . . . WAIT, THIS IS A GOOD ONE . . . because "Help Fido" campaigned against her legislation. OH NO, what is this world coming to?
Council woman Thompson derided the Help Fido group during the poll council session (see part II on youtube). IMMEDIATELY AFTER HER UGLY DERISION against this good group, Jackie says that she would like council members to embrace all diversity and all points of view and that council members should not criticize those with different opinions. EXCUSE ME? IF I DIDN'T SEE THE YOUTUBE VIDEO WITH MY OWN EYES, it is almost too insane to believe!
Conclusion: If you can stomach watching and listening to this series of You tube council meetings, you will see and hear an INSANE and HYPOCRITICAL elected official . Witness for yourselves.
It's a humiliation for the City of Whitehall.
The word of the week is HYPOCRITE.

Thank you to Councilwoman Thompson for her excellent performance . . . although Jackie is not only performing as a Hypocrite but living the life of HYPOCRITE.

Oh my, my, my...what has the City of Whitehall come to? This WAS very painful to watch! Exactly right, hyprocrite at it's best! How can someone sit and talk about the integrity and diversity of Whitehall residents, and then belittle the renters as being of a lower level and the cause for crime, and on top of tha, have no voice?????? Believe me, I'm starting to think I would rather live in Columbus with a higher tax rate (2.5%) than in this looney town (2%).
ReplyDeleteCouncilwoman Thompson was one of those renters for many years before she bought her home on Maplewood. According to the councilwoman's judgments on renters, she must have been a criminal!

Ms. Thomnpson has no higher standards. Its all about her and her personal agenda. Its time for the people to demand her resignation so that the rest of council can get back to business. I have been going to council meetings for over a year and a half now, and I hate to say it gets worse and worse every time. Now we are poised to waste more precious time on a moot subject. What a shame!!!!
