Busy Busy Busy
No time to blog right now...we're busy on the streets getting signatures and listening to all of the complaints about Jackie. And..... it's the senior citizens who talk the most about how embarrassing she is to Whitehall. They are so tired of her antics and meanness...they want her voted out now! Not to worry though...I'll have plenty of videos to post in the next couple of days!!!

ReplyDeleteThe one thing that I am hearing the most is that some people are afraid to sign because they fear retribution from JT. How sad that people want her gone but are afraid to publicly say it because they don't want to become a victim like me. Personally, I can't blame them for feeling this way. However, EVERYONE that signs it says keep up the good work, we need to get rid of her.

ReplyDeleteI just wanted to let you know that I have heard this too.....people are afraid of signing due to what Ms. Jackie might try to do to them. She's done it before; not only to Janiece but to others. Anyone who speaks out in Public Poll usually has some type of retribution coming right back at them; all at the hand of Ms. Thompson. Sad....but true. Why in the heck do you think I remain Anonymous? Because I'm also afraid of her restribution. I have nothing to hide, but I am a very busy person, single mother (the kind she likes to attack most), full time job, college education....I can't afford to haggle with stupid crap; just as other people cannot afford the time and effort it takes to handle someone's lively-hood attacks put upon themselves with her outlandish and unsubstantiated attacks because of her political pull....Politics at it's worst!

Cheryl Jo Thompson is a determined, courageous, truthful and hard-working woman with a goal to bring justice to those citizens that Jackie Thompson says she does not represent (remember that Jackie Thompson says she only represents the people who support her and pretty much her non-supporters are a "throw away").
ReplyDeleteCheryl Thompson is a single woman, works 40+ hours a week at her job, owns a small older home on 3/4 of an acre and keeps it up herself; Cheryl Thompson blogs and comes to every council meeting to video the meetings for the sole purpose of informing the citizens of Whitehall; Cheryl Thompson goes to college at night and is the organizer of the petition drive to recall Councilwoman Jackie Thompson.
Cheryl Jo Thompson uses facts, video, and actual city council minutes to support her blog discussions.
Thank you Cheryl Thompson - you are able to communicate your message using a message that any reasonable adult can understand.
Thank you Cheryl for demonstrating what true grassroots democracy is all about.
Oh boy; do I have to comment to Chloe...thank you SOOOOO much! This is exactly what I think of Ms. CJ too! I am a single mother, a child with disabilities and a full time student also in College....I understand the stress that doing all these things all at one time bring stress upon any given person. But; we are determinted to do the right thing. Ms. CJ you should be very proud of yourself for awareness that you have brought to our community. Kudo's to you.
ReplyDeleteStephanie, hang in there girl! I don't know you, but your writing and comments demonstrate you are a responsible citizen and a good mom. Some people don't understand when there are unstable and irrational elected officials, IT REALLY CAN AFFECT THE LIFE OF THE CITIZENS THEY ARE SWORN TO REPRESENT. It's difficult enough to meet day-to-day responsiblities, but when you have to worry about retribution from an elected official, that is the ultimate insult to you, the citizen.
ReplyDeleteI attended the WHYS football game tonight . . .to watch my freshman help his team win their first game in a few years! I also ran into many, many people that approached me asking to sign our petition. Good thing I took it with me. And yes, many of our fine upstanding citizens (young and old)are insulted by the way Ms. Thompson has been acting. They are tired of the three ring circus and are ready to do something about it. I for one am glad to see it, it shows me that the majority of our city does indeed want change and they DO NOT APPROVE of the hateful things that she has done.

I just want to say that we have a lot in common. I think you're right, this town needs you to turn it around. We should be like Reynoldsburg. We could at least double Whitehall's taxes. That way we could change our city from a blue collar to white collar community. We wouldn't need all the so called grant money we've been getting and wasting on ridiculous projects like the Strategic Planning.
I'm a senior citizen too. Only I'm older than you. I think you and I should come up with a way to do away with the so called senior center. Boy what a waste of taxes.
You got it girl!! Ban Pit Bulls and German Shepherds and Rottweilers and Dobermans. Get rid of all vicious dogs. Make this so called City of Pride a safer place.
I agree with you that our police dept should have left that elderly woman alone. After all she didn't hurt anyone did she? After all her daughter left her alone in the car and she was the one responsible for her mother, not our so called police dept.
I trust because you broke the rules and talked about what went on in executive council meeting and told us what we citizens need to know. Come on that's our right to know. I mean who cares about a law suit. I heard the police did everything right, but you and I know other wise don't we.
People say you have no credibility about what you say. That you have not facts or figures to back up what you say. Well what do they know. Just because they can get information from public records to dispute you doesn't make them right. I'm sure you have facts to back up everything you say.
I've never heard you say anything good about Whitehall. So I guess there isn't. After all you're on city council, not me. I do enjoy the 4th of July things though. Good fire works and all. We should cut back on money spent on fireworks, that has to cost a lot don't you think.
