    Since Jackie likes to "google" so much, maybe she should google "how to be respectful to your fellow council members". Where does she get this information about people voting her in to "get rid of the pit bulls", hum....I wonder where that is coming from? I don't believe that was ever on the ballot... "Vote me in if you want to get rid of pit bulls in your City"....crazy! Jackie doesn't know who she represents, because she only represents herself.

    OK - If six council members aren't astounded enough by her rude and disrespectful behavior (not only to them but to all but a select few Whitehall citizens) to vote her off council, then what recourse do citizens have to remove her before her term is up? I am more than ready to help anyone who has the knowledge and willingness to lead that parade. Isn't there a way for the citizens to remove this obviously self-serving person from office? I would rather see council working on TRUE public safety issues than rehashing the same old thing for years on end. Hey, maybe I'll just google that. Are you with me Anonymous Stephanie?

    Bless President Howard's heart, patience and professionalism. I know if I had control of the gavel, I would be banging it and stating that her comments are out of line every time Jackie opened her mouth. Now let's bang the gavel and ask for a vote to get her out. At least the citizens of this community will see that some of our elected members believe "enough is enough".

    Jackie Thompson is an embittered "old woman". She is so unhappy in her personal life that she has to speaw her venom at everyone around her and unfortunately it is right now directed at our community and it's citizens. We need to work this next year on getting her off of our city council before she can do any damage that is irreparable.

    Man! It sure would be nice if Council-woman-at-large Jackie Thompson would read and understand the City Charter. The City Charter states that all city wide elected officials will be elected in a NON-PARTISAN election. The council woman thinks she was elected to represent her political party and that is not the case. If it is, then Council woman Thompson needs to resign as she is not upholding her sworn vow to uphold the laws and ordinances of the City of Whitehall as the law states that city elections are non-partisan.
    Cheryl Jo, thank you for the youtube posting of the council meetings. If we weren't able to see these ridiculous comments with our own eyes, it would be difficult to believe by word of mouth
    Mrs. Jackie Thompson, please remember that you received the LEAST AMOUNT OF VOTES in the 2007 election. There was approximately a 700 vote difference between you and the next council-at-large member, which was Jim Graham. The top vote getter was Chris Rodriguez.
    So, if Jackie Thompson ran on a platform of banning pit bull breeds, then what does it say that Jim and Chris (who both ran on a good government platform with no mention of breed bans) came in 1st and 2nd? ANSWER: It says that the citizens of Whitehall were pleased with their performance in the prior 4 years AND they are not concerned with a breed ban, nor do they want one.

    Chloe, the statisitcs don't lie! Thank YOU for posting these numbers and reiterating the poll results. Jackie got in on a fluke. Plain and simple. Jim and Chris both are well respected and well loved by the city. Jackie will never ever have more than 1 term!!

    So, let me get this straight . . . JT only represents the 1000 or so voters that voted her in? What about the other 18000 residents?

    Jackie doesn't represent them because she only represents the people who voted for her.
    I mis-spoke in my prior post. There was not 700 votes between Jackie and Jim - I was wrong - Jim had 405 more votes than Jackie and Chris had 456 more than Jackie, for 861 total more votes than Jackie.

    That's ok Chloe, we got the jist of your comment! Either way, there were NOT that many people that voted for her. There were several choices for that seat, and well, she just got lucky, because she lied to the people that she says voted for her. I know a few that did indeed vote for her, but will never voter for her again.
